I have been considering adding support for the ThresholdI/O directives in MRTG - if routers.cgi spots them, it could get the current values for each target, and change its colour in the Targets menu. It would be a bit inefficient to do this for the Devices menu, though. This may be more work than expected... it is currently shelved until I can get v2.13 out properly.

No, because this would require reading ALL the rrd files and .cfg files before displaying any menu, or any frame (since we would have to verify configs). This would be amazingly inefficient.
It would not be *too* inefficient to do this just for a single .cfg file, though, maybe.

Big Brother is an application that monitors your servers, well it has a tie into MRTG to use those graphs as well.

I changed the bbmrtg.pl script to be able to pull it's graphs from routers2.cgi instead of the default 14all.cgi or mrtgrrd.cgi.

We just like the graphs that routers2.cgi creates. Also, when you click on the graph, it actually takes you routers2.cgi

If you have time, take a look at Nagios. This works well with routers2.cgi if you use the extension definitions in Nagios to link to the routers.cgi pages. I also have some scripts in the extras directory to allow MRTG to collect data via the Nagios agents.

Does anyone know a way of using the ThreshMin and ThreshMax options of MRTG to launch an audible alert (ie. What'sUp Gold)? I would like to use MRTG and Routers2 to monitor latency but also to notify me via sound as I keep it open as an ActiveDesktop item and I don't always see it as it get covered by other windows. This would be a very handy feature and if it has already been done, could someone please point me in the right direction. I looked in the MRTG mailing list and found a post regarding this but I couldn't locate where the person said that this had already been covered

Thanks
