However, what data will you put in there? Since you weren't collecting data, you don't know what it should be... maybe better just to leave the holes in there?

Routers.cgi always displays unknown as the grey bar, it ignores the unknaszero setting and doesnt do the horizontal lines that MRTG generates. The reason for this is that the people I've worked with felt that no data was better than wrong data, and that it was best to know when the data was unavailable.
