Hi I am using MRTG-2.16.2, and trying to monitor cpu usage for 1841 router. I added the following line into my cfg file, but it is giving me an error,can you please give me some info? CFG file contains... TARGET[Ip Address]:1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1:Community String@IP Address and so on... it gives me the following error: ERROR: Target[IP Adress][_IN_] '.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5 $target ->[33]{$mode} evaluated to "(some unreadable characaters)" instead of a number ERROR: Target[IP Adress][_OUT_] '.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5 $target ->[33]{$mode} evaluated to "(some unreadable characaters)" instead of a number |

All Target definitions MUST have two variables (in and out). You can suppress one of them later with the options 'noi' or 'noo' if you want, but you MUST have two. If there is only a single OID you want to monitor, then just use Target[xxx]: oid&oid:community@device where oid is the OID you are monitoring. Also, make sure the OID you are specifying doesnt require a .0 suffix; some do. Steve |
