Hi there I'm getting library errors when MRTG is trying to restart but failing to do this due to a lock file. MRTG is then failing to restart due to another MRTG process running. Does any one have any ideas on why those two particular perl libraries would be failing? The following information is part of the event: Can't use an undefined value as a SCALAR reference at C:/Perl/lib/Math/BigFloat.pm line 177.. The following information is part of the event: Use of uninitialized value in int at C:/Perl/lib/Math/BigInt/Calc.pm line 108.. *** Restarting after 10 seconds in an attempt to recover from the error above. I guess another mrtg is running. A lockfile (C:\mrtg-2.14.5\mrtg-2.14.5\bin\Windows01.cfg_l) aged 70 seconds is hanging around and I can't remove it because another process is still using it. at mrtg line 1736.. |

First, try to upgrade your MRTG (it may be a bug in an older version which is incorrectly passing an undefined to the calculation functions) Also, you may well be able to upgrade calc and bigfloat - use the PPM.exe program to do this(you already have it installed) , if you have internet access. The lockfile error seems to indicate that although you are getting this error, MRTG is not completely exiting and still holds the lockfile open. I'm not sure what might be causing this - my only suggestion at this point is to get the latest versions and see if it still occurs. If it persists, you might try the MRTG developers mailing list. |
