HI, I know this question has been answered many many times... but, after a day and a half.... I am getting cannot find RRDs.pm in /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 . /usr/local/rrdtool/lib/perl I have made site-perl-install in rrdtool... I have re made it like 6 times. I have added use lib qw( /usr/local/rrdtool/lib/perl) ; I still cannot see RRDs.pm any recommendations? Sorry... I am running RH 9 (Perl 5.8.0.) rrdtool 1.045 mrtg 2.10.12 routers2.cgi - 2.11 Thanks, Paul |

when you do the make site-perl-install, it should put the RRDs.pm into the site-perl directory on your server. Clearly something is not working right with the install since it is not doing so. Check the obvious -- you are installing as root, so you have write permission to the paths, the make command doesnt return errors during install, and so on. See if you can find where the RRDs.pm file is. Also make sure you have the other parts (the RRDs.pm then calls the .so library) |

Problem solved. being the simpleton that I am, I installed all this on a box I had locked down to be a bastion host. I had run Bastille which basically locks most stuff down and "secures" the box. Well it had changed the umask in a bad way.... so it's fixed. Thanks, Paul BTW: how much development have you put into the trend analysis? looks like a cool idea... |
